The Bodecker Brewed ® process was designed by an Office Coffee Service operator frustrated by the cost of service calls and parts replacement to maintain current single-cup brewers. Many manufacturers worked diligently to develop this process and maximize its efficiencies however each piece of equipment proved to be overly complex creating significant problems and expenses for the OCS operator and the end user. The decision to invest large sums of money in research and technology and develop a viable alternative was seen as the only way to reverse the trend of eroding profitability and more importantly, deliver a more consistent product to the customer.
